MDS patients and family members can learn about their diagnosis and the latest MDS treatments from leading experts in the field. Complimentary breakfast and lunch are provided. The event is free, but registration is required.

Set sail and save a life at the 17th Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta in Alexandria, VA. Proceeds benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

September 11 (Ligonier, PA) – Polo For A Cure

This annual polo competition at the Ligonier Polo Club benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In addition to a polo match, guests are treated to buffets, auctions, raffles and more. Opportunities for tent or table sponsorship, auction item donation, and program advertisements are available.

September 11 (Lexington, KY) – Lexington Light The Night Walk

Residents of Lexington are invited to walk Courthouse Plaza. The walk begins at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30 pm. Walkers can carry illuminated balloons representing cancer survivors, supporters, and those lost to cancer. The goal of the walk is for the community to help bring light to the dark world of cancer.

September 18 (Saskatoon, SK, Canada) – Blood Cancer Information Session

Those affected by or working with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and MDS are invited to attend this free information session from 11:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Topics include the role of stem cell transplants in treatment, an update on current drug therapies, and a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society presentation on its patient services and support programs. A free lunch and refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.
