Mitch’s Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS)

“What happens when you’re diagnosed with a disease you’ve never heard of – Myelodysplastic Syndrome”
Blending facts, fears, and witty remarks, this blog is a cleverly written commentary on one man’s experience with MDS. A freelance writer from New Jersey, Mitch started his blog when he initially found out he had MDS back in spring 2009, and in it he details facts and figures about the disease, addresses the rollercoaster ride of coping with cancer, and offers inspiration in his humor and wit. He tells it like it is, from basic information about tests and treatments to further numbers about his golf game and how well the Giants are playing. On his blog, Mitch also offers links to other cancer and treatment-related sites.

What a heart warming blog. I also have MDS, my story is yet to be written. Mitch’s story certainly shows the spirit, and strength of him. As my story continues to be written, I will try and take the spirit, and strength to get me to whatever the ending will be. To the family, the pride you have in him is one of his great memories (of which there must be millions, both funny and sad). Thanks for all this information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would think by now you are in the middle of recovery. My son had a bone Marrow transplant in Minneapolis in July of 07 and we have a wealth of information. Praying all is well with you!
