Preclinical Data Released For Drug Candidate CP-4200 – Clavis Pharma announced positive preclinical data for CP-4200 in the treatment of MDS. Derived from Vidaza (azacitidine), the drug showed an increase in normally functioning cells, a decrease in the need for combination therapies, and is more likely to be absorbed by the system resulting in more effective treatment of MDS. Further preclinical studies are ongoing. CP-4200 represents a new class of Lipid Vector Technology (LVT) drugs, which are an important drug class for the future of cancer treatment. LVT drugs are pharmaceutical agents joined with fat molecules that enhance many aspects of the drug, including biological activity, ease of administration, and dosing. For more information, see the Clavis Pharma press release.
